Former MP Cadet has been cleared by the NRM secretariat as he starts his comeback bid

Former Bunyaruguru MP Cadet Benjamin has expressed confidence in regaining his parliamentary seat in Rubirizi District, following his official nomination to contest in the upcoming NRM Primary Elections. He will go head-to-head with incumbent Twesigye John Ntamuhiira, who narrowly won the previous election.

His nomination—held at the NRM Party Electoral Commission offices in Kampala—has sparked intense political discussions, with analysts forecasting yet another highly competitive race in Rubirizi.

Strong Support and Political Influence

Cadet Benjamin has built a solid reputation as a proactive leader and advocate for socio-economic transformation, earning widespread backing from grassroots youth, women’s groups, and seasoned political figures, both within Bunyaruguru and nationally.

Following his nomination, Cadet addressed the media, expressing gratitude and reaffirming his commitment to tackling key development issues, including agriculture, infrastructure, electricity expansion, and promoting local tourism.

"I am honored to receive this nomination and stand before you today, ready to fight for the future of my people of Bunyaruguru," Cadet declared.

A Formidable Contender in the Race

Political analysts describe Cadet Benjamin as a strong contender, highlighting his vast governance experience and consistent advocacy for both local and national development.

With his competitors preparing to mount vigorous campaigns, the election is set to be pivotal for Bunyaruguru, where Cadet remains a well-known and influential figure.

As the race gains momentum, voters eagerly anticipate campaign promises that will define the future of leadership in the constituency, with many observers suggesting Cadet holds an early advantage.
