Musician Carol Nantongo has proudly maintained her natural chocolate complexion throughout her decade-long career in the music industry.

Unlike some female artists, Nantongo has never bleached her skin and has no intention of doing so, stating that it is an expensive and unrewarding practice.

She explained that bleaching creams and cosmetics come at a high cost, requiring consistent financial commitment for maintenance.

During a conversation with a local YouTuber, Nantongo sarcastically remarked that women who bleach deserve respect, given the amount of money they invest in maintaining their appearance.

"Bleaching is expensive, and I simply don’t have the money for it. In fact, people should start respecting those who bleach because their body creams and cosmetics cost a fortune—yet it brings no returns," she stated.

Despite her remarks, Nantongo firmly affirmed her love for her natural skin tone, saying she would never bleach, even if she had the money, as she sees her complexion as a blessing from God.

Several female artists—including Spice Diana, Sheebah, and Lydia Jazmine—have faced bleaching accusations, though they have all denied the claims.
