On Wednesday, U.S. billionaire Elon Musk admitted he regretted some of his recent social media posts about President Donald Trump, stating they “went too far.”
Musk, who was previously an adviser and ally to Trump during the presidential campaign, had engaged in a heated online exchange with the U.S. president last week.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO criticized Trump’s tax and spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” In response, Trump labeled Musk “CRAZY” and threatened to cancel contracts and subsidies tied to his companies.
On Monday, Musk’s father, Errol Musk, weighed in on the feud, telling Russian media that his son had “made a mistake” by publicly arguing with Trump, attributing the dispute to stress on both sides.
"They’ve been under a lot of stress for five months—give them a break," Errol Musk told Izvestia during his visit to Russia.
