Inter Milan hero, Davide Frattesi, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the physiotherapists following his side’s impressive 4-3 triumph over Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday. Frattesi, who netted the decisive extra-time winner in this thrilling contest, played a crucial role in what turned out to be an unforgettable clash against Barcelona. The 25-year-old midfielder nearly experienced a blackout due to the intensity of his celebration at San Siro after scoring the winning goal for the hosts.

After the game, Frattesi candidly admitted that he considered himself incredibly fortunate to have finished the match, remarking that his exuberant celebration left him so overwhelmed he “saw everything black.” “I’m lucky to have finished the game. I screamed so much that I saw everything black,” he told Sky Sport. “I have to thank the physiotherapists because, in recent days, I was not well. I dedicate the victory to them. It is incredible—I don’t know what to say. Tonight, the incredible happened.”

Throughout the match, goals from Lautaro Martinez, Hakan Calhanoglu, Eric Garcia, Dani Olmo, Raphinha, and Francesco Acerbi ensured that, after the regulation 90 minutes ended in a 3-3 draw, it was Frattesi’s extra-time strike that ultimately secured a memorable win for Inter Milan.
