Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, asserted that misfortune has impeded his team’s efforts to secure major trophies. Speaking with reporters ahead of their forthcoming Champions League semi-final second leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain, he emphasized that their struggle isn’t due solely to a lack of quality but rather to the absence of those decisive moments when circumstances align perfectly.

The Spanish coach stressed that winning trophies largely comes down to “being in the right moment in the right place.” This comes at a time when Liverpool have been crowned Premier League champions, currently sitting an impressive 15 points ahead of the Gunners. Despite this, Arteta pointed out that Arsenal’s combined points totals from the past two seasons would have earned them two Premier League titles.

He elaborated, saying, “Liverpool have clinched the title with fewer points than we managed in the last two seasons. With those numbers, we could have secured two Premier Leagues. I remain optimistic that tomorrow in Paris, we will find ourselves in the perfect moment and in the right place to win our way into the final.”
