Inter Miami star Lionel Messi has revealed his favorite goal of his career. The 38-year-old considers the header he scored against Manchester United in the 2009 Champions League final while playing for Barcelona as his most memorable.

Having netted over 800 goals across his time with Argentina, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Inter Miami, Messi reflected on the significance of that particular moment. “I had many goals that are perhaps even more beautiful and of enormous value, also because of their importance, but the header in the Champions League final against Manchester United was always my favorite,” he stated.

The goal, which secured Barcelona’s second in their 2-0 triumph over United, saw Messi rise above defenders Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic to head the ball past goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar. It remains one of the most iconic goals in Champions League history and marked Messi’s first of three Champions League titles with Barcelona.
